Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. PDF-M splits the file inside your browser. It is never sent to a server, so confidential documents stay on your device.
How do I write page ranges?
Separate pages and ranges with commas: 1-3, 5, 8-10. Leave the end of a range open to go to the last page, so 7- means page 7 to the end.
Will the quality change?
No. Pages are copied exactly as they are, so text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution.
How do I open the ZIP file?
On Windows and Mac, double-click it. On iPhone and iPad, tap it in the Files app. On Android, open it from the Files app or your Downloads folder.
Can I split a password-protected PDF?
Not directly. Open it with its password, save or print a copy without protection, then split that copy.
Can I put the pages back together later?
Yes. Use the PDF merger to combine any of the files again, in any order.
